AEG IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UTILITY PURCHASING MANAGEMENT GROUP (UPMG) WILL BE CONDUCTING THE FIFTH ANNUAL SUPPLY CHAIN BENCHMARKING STUDY.
AEG in partnership with the Utility Purchasing Management Group (UPMG) will be conducting the fifth annual Supply Chain Benchmarking Study.
This study is the only comprehensive Supply Chain benchmark study that is conducted by and for the utility industry. It addresses Purchasing, Warehousing, Materials Management and Accounts Payable. Participation in the study has grown from thirteen utilities in the first year to twenty-five in 2007.
The principal objectives of this study are:
Make it simple for companies to participate (data entry through the benchmarking website)
Ensure that results provide apples-to-apples comparisons (iterative process that allows for discussion and revisions before the final report is issued)
Provide a forum for participants to solicit Supply Chain “best practices” (a half day working session for participants is conducted at the UPMG conference)
Offer year-round opportunity for participants to conduct surveys, inquiries and direct contacts with the survey group
Provide all participants with a final report that allows them to compare their performance against that of their peers
